About the webinar

This webinar is co-organized by the Transport Working Group of the LEDS LAC Regional Platform and the Community of Practice "Sustainable Urban Mobility Platform in Latin America" of EUROCLIMA+ / MobiliseYourCity. This event is organized with the intention of making visible the concept of National Urban Mobility Policies and Investment Programs (NUMPs) giving the necessary elements for the development of such policies and promoting the experiences of countries in the region advanced in such policies.

NUMPs are action-oriented strategic frameworks for urban mobility developed by national governments to improve the capacity of cities to plan, finance and implement projects and measures designed to meet the mobility needs of people and businesses in and around cities in a sustainable manner.

This webinar will introduce the general concept of NUMPs, the rationale for why their development is necessary, and the MobiliseYourCity initiative's core methodology document on how to develop them. In addition, the experiences of two countries in the region that are in the process of developing their NUMPs will be shared.

It is aimed at all parties interested in the concept, especially members of national governments interested in developing NUMPs in their countries, and members of local governments interested in articulating national policies with local sustainable mobility plans.

The webinar will be in Spanish language. When you register you will receive in your email the link to enter the day of the webinar. If you have any questions, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat by email: info@ledslac.org.
