About the event
Governments in the region are taking urgent action to overcome the health crisis and its associated impacts; many are also reviewing their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement. There is therefore an unprecedented opportunity to accelerate the transition to green and resilient economies that can keep global temperatures below 1.5°C, while advancing the goal of more equitable and inclusive societies.
The response seeks to understand the opportunities for articulation between the different levels of government to ensure increased ambition, accelerated action and mobilization of human and financial resources.
This virtual session seeks to identify best practices and needs with an emphasis on strategies to drive climate action and scale-up in the current context.
