About the event
The Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), reflected in Article 12 of the Paris Agreement, includes six dimensions: education, training, public awareness, public participation, public access to information and international cooperation. ACE is a cross-cutting proposal in public policy that seeks to generate and articulate capacities and commitments that promote transformative action in the face of climate change. To achieve this, it is necessary to work together with all sectors, spheres and institutions and at all scales (from global to local) with the public.
Several Latin American countries have already committed to include ACE in their revised NDCs. This session will allow sharing the experiences that Latin American countries are carrying out to implement education, training, social awareness, access to information, citizen participation and international cooperation as indispensable elements that accompany the implementation of the NDCs.
