About the webinar
This webinar will present concepts and conclusions on multi-solution action on health and climate, based on the report "Multi-solution at the intersection of health and climate" recently published by Climate Interactive. This report presents 10 case studies of global initiatives that have successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions while improving people's health and in some cases increasing social equity and saving money. It offers a window and examples for institutions and governments across the region to create and sustain projects and policies that impact both health and climate, demonstrating that it is possible to take action in both areas and generate other co-benefits.
Two case studies will be presented: Ciclovía Bogotá and PROAIRE Mexico, which illustrate how these types of initiatives have been led by different actors including health specialists, large corporations and local governments, but succeeded thanks to collaborative efforts from multiple disciplines, jurisdictions and areas of study.
The webinar will be held at Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat: info@ledslac.org.
