About the webinar
Governments and other stakeholders involved in dealing with climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean are increasingly aware of the importance of integrating the mitigation, adaptation and development agendas. The agricultural sector has proven to be one in which the need for this integration occurs more frequently and easily. Moving from intention to action in this issue requires the availability of planning methodologies to identify and prioritize actions that increase productivity while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and increasing climate change resilience.
This webinar will present two tools developed by organizations from the region with that purpose. The tool on Synergies between Adaptation and Mitigation (MAS), developed by CATIE as part of USAID´s Regional Climate Change Program; and the framework for prioritizing investments in climate compatible sustainable agriculture (MP-ASAC), developed by CCAFS-CIAT. Both presentations will include at least one practical application of the tool in the region.
The webinar will be held in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat: info@ledslac.org
