A mitigação no setor de transportes é fundamental para a implementação das NDCs e a adoção de ônibus elétricos oferece uma oportunidade única para a ação climática. Na recente Cúpula das Nações Unidas sobre Mudanças Climáticas, governos, empresários e ONGs fizeram um apelo por mais ações para combater as mudanças climáticas, apresentando a iniciativa Action towards Climate-friendly Transport (ACT), uma coalizão global para descarbonizar o transporte, e a iniciativa Supporting Urban Reductions in GHG Emissions (SURGE), uma plataforma multirregional que busca acelerar a adoção de ônibus elétricos. Além disso, a cidade de Santiago do Chile representa um caso concreto na liderança para a incorporação da frota de ônibus elétricos em seus sistemas de transporte público.
The webinar aims to share the initiatives with decision makers and experts in the region, in order to encourage new cities to start a path of developing electric mobility in their public transport systems. The webinar will be held in Spanish.
