About the webinar
There is growing international recognition that climate change has differentiated impacts on men and women, and that gender inequalities negatively affect women's ability to cope with it. This led to the formulation and subsequent approval of Peru's Gender and Climate Change Action Plan (PAGCC).
The PAGCC, approved through Decree No 012-2016-MINAM in 2016, links national policy and international agreements and promotes that sectors, regions and public institutions in general, develop actions concerning adaptation and management of greenhouse gas emissions, with a gender approach.
This webinar will present the objectives, progress and challenges of the PAGCC, followed by the experience of two community initiatives that have incorporated the gender approach in initiatives related to mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change. The webinar will be held at Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat: info@ledslac.org.
