There is a growing interest in learning about low emission development planning and processes as critical elements in achieving robust design, strong ownership and sustained implementation of Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS). Multi-stakeholder involvement in a participatory LEDS process and government support and leadership are two key factors that facilitate building lasting capacity and political viability for low emission development.
The first webinar in the series discusses emerging good practices and tools for LEDS planning and processes, including mitigation action plans and scenarios (MAPS) for low-emission development. Other topics include LEDS process facilitation and stakeholder integration, public leadership and reform management, and linkages between LEDS at the national and sub-national levels.
