About the webinar

Climate Tagger is a set of tools to help knowledge-oriented organizations in the climate and development field classify their data and information resources and make them available to the entire climate knowledge community. The Climate Tagger API is free to use, and the tool has been widely adopted in the climate domain - in 2015, more than 700,000 documents had been parsed and tagged.

Climate Tagger uses Linked Open Dataand was first introduced by REEEP and other group organizations. Climate Knowledge Brokers (Climate Knowledge Catalysts) in 2011. It is supported by the Climate Compatible Development Thesaurus, a multilingual classification developed by experts in various fields, from climate change mitigation and adaptation to economics, green growth and many other specific sub-sectors.

To make Climate Tagger a valuable tool for a wide range of climate knowledge brokers around the world, the tool has been developed based on five languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German). Recently, we have analyzed the use of controlled vocabularies in organizations in the LAC region, to learn from each other and to establish links with potential collaborators.

This webinar presented Climate Tagger and successful cases of current use of the tool. It was conducted in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat: info@ledslac.org.
