Tools for analysis and design
of Green Hydrogen and PtX projects

Technical webinar series on green hydrogen and PtX technologies at LAC

To meet the national targets defined in the Paris Agreement, many countries are opting for green H2 and its derivatives, especially for the decarbonization of those industries that are difficult to electrify, such as the steel, chemical and aerospace industries, where green H2 and PtX technologies can play an important role.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) of the Federal Republic of Germany, the project "The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection" is being developed.Implementation of the International Hydrogen Development Program" (H2-Uppp)implemented by the German Development Cooperation GIZ, which promotes the production of green hydrogen (H2) and the public-private-industry partnership (PPP), and the Power-to-X (PtX) that works with public industry players, especially in developing and emerging countries.

The PtX Hub - an institution founded in 2019 by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) - kicks off the Project. International PtX Hub to be implemented by GIZ in cooperation with national public and private actors and private actors from German and European industry.

H2-Uppp Project

The H2-Uppp Project has as its core objective the development of markets for green H2/PtX technologies, especially in developing and emerging countries, through partnerships with industry and the development of public-private pilot projects.

International PtX Hub

The International PtX Hub Project aims to ensure that both public and private decision-makers in emerging countries incorporate sustainability criteria in the development and implementation of PtX concepts and technologies, consistent with the German government's national hydrogen strategy.

Virtual Events

The H2-Uppp project, the PtX Hub Berlin project and the LEDS LAC platform in collaboration with FENOGE and the H2LAC platform are organizing a series of webinars "Tools for the analysis and design of Green Hydrogen and PtX projects". The projects are oriented to the Latin America and Caribbean region and will take place between June and August 2023.

How to evolve a H2 Green project from pilot to industrial scale? How to develop large scale H2 Green projects?
What are the advantages of developing a Hydrogen Hub? What considerations should be taken into account when developing a Hydrogen Hub?
Why are international markets relevant for PtX products? What is recommended to enter and operate in these markets?
