Introduction
The current climate urgency poses the challenge of finding climate action solutions that allow us to see concrete results in the shortest possible time. Action at the city level becomes relevant, as cities are where a high percentage of the region's population is concentrated. Climate solutions must have a multiple impact, integrally resolving the urban challenges of cities (e.g. traffic, logistics, green areas, etc.). The collective of actors that must participate in the implementation of changes opens opportunities to collectively find innovative solutions to achieve these objectives.

About the LEDS LAC platform
The LEDS LAC Platform is the regional platform for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Low Emission and Climate Resilient Development Strategies Global Partnership (LEDS GP). Launched in 2012, LEDS LAC operates under the general principles of LEDS GP, has an independent Steering Committee formed by representatives of international organizations, governmental institutions and NGOs from the region, and a Secretariat operated by Libélula Comunicación Ambiente y Desarrollo from Peru with the support of several institutional partners.
The LEDS LAC platform is a community of people and organizations that are leading the transformation towards low-emission and climate-resilient development in Latin America and the Caribbean. In this sense, the platform is a regional meeting space to (1) open opportunities for technical collaboration and synergies, (2) strengthen capacities and promote joint learning (3) systematize and disseminate information, tools and resources to achieve the transformation.
As of July 2019, the platform has over 1900 registered members, mostly from the LAC region but also from other regions of the world. Membership is open, resulting in a wide diversity in representation from governments, private sector, consultants, multilateral and bilateral cooperation agencies, NGOs, civil society and academia.
