During COP24 in Katowice, Poland. LEDS LAC co-organized three side events together with important organizations such as EUROCLIMA+, GIZ, Avina Foundation, NDC Partnership, WRI, UNDP, ECLAC, among others.

Improving Governance Frameworks and Unlocking Ambition with Non-State and Subnational Actors
When local, national and regional governments as well as non-state actors take climate action into consideration, their efforts reinforce each other and generate greater ambition in their goals. Panelists at this event discussed country-led actions in Latin America and the Caribbean, exploring how these policies have led to better integration of the public and private sector as well as greater transparency in national commitments.

Sustained Cross-Country Learning and Collaboration Through Regional Communities of Practice for NDC Implementation
At this event, Dr. Marlon Escoto, presidential delegate for climate change in Honduras, presented his country's experience and the work being developed by the Community of Practice on private sector involvement in climate policy processes in Latin America, an initiative promoted by EUROCLIMA+, through GIZ, in collaboration with the LEDS LAC platform and the CLACDS INCAE Business School.
