About the event

This event is part of a series of presentations of results obtained in the ICAT (Initiative for Climate Action Transparency) project for audiences in Latin America, called "ICAT Webinar Series: Advancing Climate Action Transparency in Latin America and the Caribbean".

We will present the GACMO (Greenhouse Gas Abatement Cost Model) modeling tool developed by the UNEP-DTU Partnership, which evaluates mitigation actions and their associated cost at the national or subnational level, and is used to support the preparation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). In this session we will also look for collaboration possibilities to apply GACMO on a larger scale in countries in the region that need tools for rapid assessment of their mitigation actions, in order to increase the ambition of their international climate commitments.
