How to approach MRV M&E of Long Term Decarbonization Strategies: from thinking to practice. 19th Virtual Exchange Session of the Climate Policy Monitoring and Evaluation Community of Practice.
In its paragraph 4.19, the Paris Agreement calls on parties to submit their long-term (2050) decarbonization strategies by 2020. Adequate monitoring and evaluation of these strategies, as well as a design that facilitates it, will allow for a robust assessment of progress and adequate reporting to the international community.
Being a relatively new topic in the region, the objective of the session is to open the discussion on M&E and LTS. This virtual exchange session of the climate policy monitoring and evaluation community of practice (CoP M&E)is supported by FIIAPP in the Climate Governance component of EUROCLIMA+ with the support of the LEDS LAC Platform.
