The current context of the COVID-19 pandemic is having a gigantic social and economic impact. On the other hand, this situation is broadening our horizons of action by pushing back the limits of what we thought was possible.

This session will explore the priorities - the opportunities and challenges in the region - for climate action in the current context. Some questions that will guide this session will include:

  • How to keep the climate issue current and relevant?
  • How to incorporate/mainstream climate action into recovery plans?
  • What opportunities exist in LAC that are recognized as elements of green recovery and contribute to compliance with the Paris Agreement?
