Members of the Community of Practice on Public-Private Articulation for Climate Action in Latin America (ArticuLAC) met virtually last July 21 to recap achievements and learnings from the work of the Community, which was launched in July 2018, as a collaboration of the European Union's Euroclima Program, through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the LEDS LAC Regional Platform and the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS) of INCAE Business School.

This Community of Practice was created with the objective of promoting the creation and consolidation of spaces and mechanisms for the systematic participation of the private sector in the formulation and implementation of climate policies in the countries of the region, and the alignment of corporate climate action with national strategies and goals.

ArticuLAC is currently made up of 40 public and private organizations from 13 Latin American countries, whose representatives participate in virtual and face-to-face activities of exchange, training and generation of knowledge products. Throughout its five years of existence, almost 70 organizations from 15 countries in the region have participated.

A 2018-2023 Report was presented during the session, available at herewhich summarizes the activities developed and lessons learned during this period, and presents testimonials from ArticuLAC members. Some figures stand out in this regard: more than 150 people from member organizations have participated in exchange and capacity building activities, more than 500 people have attended webinars open to the public, the knowledge products produced by the CoP have been downloaded more than 3,000 times, and 100% of the members who responded to the last satisfaction survey stated that they have applied the lessons learned in the Community.

In different segments of the session, representatives of member organizations from different countries commented on how their participation in the Community has helped them to advance their climate action initiatives in a more coordinated manner with other actors. In addition, a space was opened to consult on strengthening needs and specific topics for exchange, with a view to future activities focused on public-private articulation for the mobilization of investments.
