About the webinar
The webinar aims to contribute to capacity building for the development of business models for bike sharing systems. To this end, research conducted by WRI based on more than 30 case studies worldwide will be presented to decipher the key elements for the implementation of these systems. The elements that are part of these systems will be discussed, as well as the sources of resources and financial products that exist to pay for them. Finally, a case study of Ecobici in Mexico City will be presented, explaining how the business model was built for this city.

About the panelists
Associate in the Energy and Climate practice at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, where he leads the low-carbon transportation offering. Sebastian provides advice and support to cities in the design and implementation of low-carbon, high-efficiency transportation solutions and policies, including electrification of the transportation sector, fuel-saving policies, intelligent transportation and bike-sharing systems.Associate in the Energy, Climate and Finance practice at the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. His work focuses on helping cities develop and apply sustainable finance business models that can accelerate the implementation of climate-focused urban solutions, such as transit-oriented development, bike-share systems, clean buses, bus rapid transit systems, and more efficient buildings.Active Mobility Manager in the Cities program at WRI Mexico, responsible for developing this new area of expertise to create specific solutions and actions for pedestrian and cycling projects in different cities as part of the integrated transport strategy, emission reduction projects and transfer mechanism networks, as well as advising on the implementation of Public Bicycle Systems in India.
