About the webinar

Governments and other actors involved in addressing climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean are increasingly aware of the importance of adequately integrating the mitigation, adaptation and development agendas. The agriculture and forestry sector has proven to be one in which the need for this integration occurs with greater frequency and ease. Moving from intention to action in this area requires planning methodologies and tools that allow for the identification and prioritization of actions that increase productivity while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and increasing resilience to climate change.

This webinar will present two tools developed by institutions in the region for this purpose. The Synergies between Adaptation and Mitigation (SAM) tool, developed by CATIE as part of USAID's Regional Climate Change Program; and the Climate Adapted Sustainable Agriculture Investment Prioritization Framework (MP-ASAC), developed by CCAFS-CIAT. Both presentations will include at least one practical application of the tool in the region.

The webinar will be conducted in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat: info@ledslac.org
