About the webinar

Decoupling development from greenhouse gas emissions should be a global priority. PwC has assessed the carbon intensity of G20 economies over the past 7 years through the annual Low Carbon Economy Index (LCEI). In this seventh index, the national targets (or Intended Nationally Determined Contributions - INDCs) were analyzed to determine whether the CO2 emissions established are those necessary to limit warming to 2°C. Unfortunately, since this analysis has been carried out, the level of annual "decarbonization" required to achieve the goal of not increasing global temperature beyond 2°C has never been met. The business implications of these targets and the investments needed to achieve them were also considered.

This webinar presented the most relevant results of this publication, including an analysis of the key sectors in the countries that contribute to climate change. In addition, two experts shared their views on the specific results for the region and the opportunities for the private sector.

The webinar was conducted in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat at the following email address [email protected]
