Introduction to the event
The Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) has developed the Sustainable Development Impact Assessment Guidance to help assess the impact of policies and actions in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This assessment would allow the SDGs and climate goals to be integrated into a unified process. For example, it would be possible to identify and report Sustainable Development benefits within the actions taken to meet the NDCs.
In order to increase the accessibility of the guides in Spanish-speaking countries, especially in the Latin American and Caribbean region, the guide has been translated into Spanish and a webinar was held on June 28 and an in-depth session on July 5. The recording and materials of both events are available at the following link: https://www.ledslac.org/recursos-proyectos/transparencia-climatica-lac/guia-de-evaluacion-de-los-impactos-en-el-desarrollo-sostenible-evaluacion-de-los-impactos-ambientales-sociales-y-economicos-de-las-politicas-y-acciones/
