About the session

The UN Climate Change Secretariat (UNFCCC) launched in February 2018 a new platform to facilitate inviting all countries and other interested parties, including business, investors, cities, regions and civil society, to send proposals to the Talanoa Dialogue around three central questions: Where are we? Where do we want to go? How do we get there? With the aim of providing ideas, recommendations and information that can help bring climate action to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the session you will be informed about everything you should know about the Talanoa Dialogue. How to society, academia, enterprises, etc. can you participate? Information about how to submit proposals through the new platform.

About the panelist

Carlos heads up the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Regional Collaboration Center for Latin America and the Caribbean, supporting implementation of the Sustainable Development Mechanism and countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris agreement. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, a M.Sc. in International Forest Management and a Major in Project Management.
