Project: Implementing transport oriented development in Mexico

About the webinar

The tool for estimating GHG emissions in TOD projects is designed to apply in any city or metropolitan area, to account for GHG emissions according to mobility patterns by implementing TOD areas. In addition, the calculator estimates emissions baseline of public and private transport in a city, and calculates the mitigation potential of these through changes in the mobility of persons because of the implementation of TOD projects.

The TOD Emission Reduction Calculator is based on the fundamental assumption that the built environment influences the way people inhabit transport themselves. Therefore, urban criteria used can affect mobility of people decisions to generate more sustainable mobility patterns, which in turn results in lower GHG emissions to the atmosphere. In this webinar we will know the main overviews of the tool. Later we will learn how to use the calculator through a case study application in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, Mexico.

The webinar was held in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat, info@ledslac.org.
