About the webinar

There is an increasing international recognition that climate change has differential impacts on men and women, and that gender inequalities negatively affect women’s ability to cope. This led to the formulation and subsequent approval of the Gender and Climate Change Action Plan of Peru (PAGCC).

The PAGCC, approved by decree No. 012-2016-MINAM in 2016, links national policy and international agreements and promotes the participation of sectors, regions and public institutions in general, in relation to the adaptation and management of emissions of greenhouse gases, with a gender focus.

This webinar will present the objectives, advances and challenges of the PAGCC, followed by the experiences of two community initiatives that have incorporated the gender approach in initiatives related to mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change. The webinar will be held in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the Secretariat of the LEDS LAC Platform: info@ledslac.org.
